Waste of words.
Letter about nothing, again.

Jesus if I was the marketing guy who wrote that, I wouldn't list Lineage 2 as a credit to that employee, all this letter does to ex-L2 players is make us expect another 5 years of shitty support, bots being allowed to roam free, exploiting of year-old Korean bugs and ebaying being unpunishable.
Awesome.
Awesome.

But some of us know at least what the hell is really happening and what to expect from them.
Then why are we shelling out money for boxes? You get my point, right? They can piss and shit on who ever they want. They know we'll buy it anyway.

I read it. It makes perfect sense and answers every question i had ever about Aion and its release in europe.
Dear, god, they've got him. Okay, you're in a forest with Heather Locklear, and you're very warm. You're very warm.
Crap, Heather doesn't look like she used to in the 1990's... Alright, bring the acetylene torch and handcuffs. Time for detox.

Short of scandal (NCSoft President actually a Serial Preschool Arsonist in Boryeong), crime (embezzling player's already overdrawn bank accounts?), or merger (NCSoft is now a subsidiary of Disney, closes MMORPG properties), it's pretty much a given.
It's not that players don't revolt on bad subscription practices, but that consumerism in general guarantees that someone will not be aware of your misgivings and become a new customer, regardless on how much you step on the prior customers to make a buck.
And those who are stepped on weigh the decision to stay or go in a similar manner each time... Yeah, I got screwed, but I spent three years on this Templar, and to hell if I'm going to waste that. Sure if the transgression is large enough, they will leave, but as long as the product design is adequate, someone pops in daily to take up the void. It's a pretty ideal state of being for a digital content network...
